FG Spent  ₦ 84m Shuttling Passengers Between Kaduna & Abuja In 6 Weeks The Nigerian federal government has spent over N84 million for the transportation of air passengers between Kaduna and Abuja since the closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The sum was shared among three motor companies that provided 29 vehicles in total to transport the passengers during the Abuja airport closure. Chisco Motors provided eighteen vehicles, Auto Star Executives provided nine, and MFC investment provided two, our correspondent learned. Chisco Motors was used to ferry economy passengers, while Auto Star Executives transported international passengers and MFC buses ferried business class passengers. A document exclusively made available to our correspondent by a source close to the Abuja airport indicated that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) provided the funds for the motor companies. Angry Mob Beat Up FRSC Officials For Allegedly Demanding Bribe (Photos/Video) Pictures and a video footage of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials been manhandled for allegedly demanding bribe has emerged online. The photos of the incident which reportedly occurred in Nnewi, Anambra State on Friday, showed one of the road safety officials being held by his belt, reminiscent of how policemen hold criminals. Modesty Vitus M Ezenwa who posted the visuals on Facebook narrated that the officers “asked for bribe”. “The stubborn cyclist refused to offer,” he wrote. “They wanted to ‘arrest ‘ the cycle, the owner refused.” He noted that some officials ran away, leaving two of their colleagues behind at the mercy of the mob. Gowon enjoins Christendom to shun denomination, embrace unity Former Head of State, retired Gen. Yakubu Gowon, has advised Christians in Nigeria to shun denomination and embrace unity. Gowon gave this advice during the Kaltungo Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Gospel centenary in Kaltungo, Gombe State on Saturday. Gowon, who was also the chairman of the occasion, said the focus of Christians should be Christ and salvation as against denomination. According to him, denomination will not take anybody anywhere. He urged the Christian faithful to continue with evangelism from where the missionaries that brought the gospel stopped.
